MCAC CODE OF ETHICS
Believing that business standards of high order are essential to progress, and that they will better qualify us to serve society, we have adopted the following rules of conduct:
With The Public -
- That each one of us shall be clean morally and physically, of good repute, honest, affair and sincere.
- That we consider our vocation worthy and one necessary for civic advancement and protection of the public health.
- That every transaction to which one of us is a party shall be conducted on honour and that all parties shall profit thereby.
- That no installation of material shall be made except in a way that will literally comply with the Municipal and Provincial Ordinances and provide every possible safeguard for the health of our customers and the public generally.
- That the material, ideas and services which we offer shall be sold at a profit commensurate with value thereof.
- That no questionable methods shall be employed in the solicitations of business or any unfair advantages taken because of confidence reposed.
- That we will lend every possible moral and financial support to organized effort intended to develop the commercial, industrial, civic and financial progress of the Municipality and Province.
With Our Fellow Craftsmen -
- That we will maintain friendly relations with those of our craft and that we will practice clean and honourable competition.
- That we will take no unfair advantage of each other: make no disparaging remarks regarding a competitor's product, his methods or his prices, or his personal or financial standing.
- That no solicitation shall be made to cancel an order or contract previously placed with a competitor.
- That no bid shall be made for the services of an employee of a fellow craftsman by offering a bonus or a higher rate of pay.
With Our Employees -
- That employees shall receive the standard wage and be given courteous and fair treatment.
- That we will encourage them in acquiring skill and knowledge, both by experience and study.
